Shostakovich School of Music, Art and Dance

On behalf of the entire faculty and Board of Trustees of the Shostakovich Music, Art and Sport School! Would like to welcome you to the study of the arts and to our school. We are sure that you, your family, and your friends will recognize the many new talents that you will acquire as you pursue your studies. Your studies will be both challenging and time consuming. However, they certainly will be rewarding. As your interests and abilities grow, so do the talents of our faculty and the diversity of our course offerings. Put simply, our program has something of interest to everyone and is geared so that each of us may acquire a new taste for the arts. Each year more than 40 pupils of our school acting in prestigious schools, such as Bay Academy and Mark Twain School. 7 pupils are accepted in the best comprehensive school of arts of New York - LaGuardia School of Performing Art. In the same 2004 the school had been lead two concerts in Steinway Hall. The pupil of our school Stephen Ionov (8 years old) has won first place at competition of Association of teachers of New York. Michael Pais (14 years old) has won first place at the international competition of pianists in New Jersey, acquired thus the right of solo execution in the Carnegie Hall. The school, under the contract with department of education of New York, constantly carries out concerts in comprehensive schools, banks, houses for aged. Our pupils give representation on the holidays devoted to Day of a Victory, to Israel, on Nayanas festivals.

More than hundred learning our schools have taken part in television competition "Our talented children " and twelve numbers have left in a semifinal.
